Happy Monday lovelies! Instead of the typical manicure post on a Monday I decided to share this gorgeous Grey Smokey Eye with you.
When it comes to my make-up I like to keep it simple and I am a huge fan of a smokey eye. For this look I decided to use a grey colour palette and I am so happy with how it came out. I love experimenting with different coloured smokey eyes and find that this one is a great look for a night out.
When I was deciding which products to use to create this look I found that the Essence All About Greys eyeshadow palette works perfectly. It contains all those gorgeous grey tones that you would need for a look like this.
Here is how I created this look:
Step 1 – I always start off by applying my top eyelid black liner first. This way if I make a mistake it’s not all over my eyeshadow.
Step 2 – Next I apply a very light grey shade over my entire eyelid.
Step 3 – Then take a darker tone and again apply it over your entire eyelid.
Step 4 – Now it’s time to add the darkest grey shade. Apply this shade on the outside corner of your eyelid and blend it towards the middle.
Step 5 – To create that ombre effect I take a nude liner and draw a thin line in the corner of my eye and a little inward. I then take my finger and blend it in towards the middle of my eye. This really creates a great effect.
Step 6 – Next I apply the same dark eyeshadow on the bottom eyelid on the outside corner. You would ideally want a thinner line that meets with the top outer corner.
Step 7 – Once I am happy with how my eyeshadow is blended, I create my cateye and apply mascara.
I would love to hear what you thought of this look so please leave me a comment below, and have a wonderful Monday!
