I’m definitely a hair in a bun kind of girl (partly because it’s easy and quick) and I just love that a simple bun can be dressed up in so many ways. I’ve been featuring a few easy bun hairstyles lately and today I would love to share this braided bun look with you.
I have never been great with my hair so the easier the better and this look is really easy to create. A bun is one of those hairstyles that you can wear in many ways, wear to many occasions and that’s just plain easy and reliable. For this look I decided to add some braids to a high bun to take it from plain to a little bit more fun.
Here is how you can create your own Braided Bun look:
Step 1 – Tie your hair up in a high ponytail. I find that this look is easier to create if your hair is straight.
Step 2 – For this look you will be creating four braids that will go over and around your bun so start creating four thin braids more to the front of your ponytail and tie them off.
Step 3 – Now it’s time to create your high bun. Make sure that you don’t tie in your braids when you create the bun.
Step 4 – Lastly you will decide where your braids will be placed. I decided to make two go over my bun and two around and then simply secured them with bobby pins.
Even though this look is not as polished as I hoped for, I still find it super cute and easy to do. It’s really an easy and quick way to add something fun to a high bun.
