6. Avoid artificial sugars
7. Adhere to proper portion sizes
8. Avoid supersizing your meals
9. Eat smaller meals throughout the day
10. Eat healthy fats everyday
11. Depend on fresh fruit and vegetables for fiber, vitamins, nutrients and enzymes
12. Eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein
13. Combine protein with complex carbs at every meal
14. Avoid sugar loaded beverages
15. Avoid an excessive amount of alcohol
16. Prep foods in advance to avoid temptations
