Happy New Year

Happy new Year First off, happy new year to all of you! What a fantastic year 2014 was and here is to another new and exciting year, may it be even better!

Wow, where has this year gone? First off I want to start by saying thank you. Thank you to all the wonderful readers and followers of my blog. You guys have really made me very happy with all the love and support you have shown towards Bobs & Rouge. You guys have all made me feel at home, helping me live out this creative dream of mine, supporting me, welcoming me and encouraging me all the way. And for that I am so thankful.

My journey in the blogging community has been so great thus far. I was initially so scared when I started blogging and I kept thinking what if no one likes me or what if they hate my blog, but I was so pleasantly surprised by how open and supportive the blogging community is. I have made so many new and wonderful blogging friends from all over the world and I look forward to all the new friends I will be making in the new year.

New Year's Resolutions

Every year everyone always makes new years resolutions for themselves such as eating healthier, stopping smoking, cutting our sugar or exercising more.

We set ourselves up to fail, because most resolutions do tend to fail after a while, and that leaves us feeling down, miserable and plainly like failures. So this year, instead of setting a resolution as such, just work in general on being a better and happier you, because this year all I want to achieve is to be myself and to not lose sight of what I want to achieve.

  1. Happy New Year Lynne! I’m right there with you on the whole resolution topic. Year after year I made resolutions to only be disappointed later on because they didn’t work out. Focusing on generally bettering and being comfortable with yourself is an excellent “resolution.”

Also, I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. I see that someone above did as well, but here is the link to my post: http://jamiewiley.net/2015/01/05/versatile-blogger-award/

    1. Thank you so much for reading Jamie. I am so glad you feel that way too, it is really much better than making resolutions that only end up disspaointing you 🙂 Thank you so much for the nomination hun 😀 I will be posting the award on my blog this week or next!

  2. Hi Lynne. I’m a big fan of your blog. It’s so pretty and packed full of endless creativity. In your about page you talk about being an illustrator and designer. Do you work freelance or for a company? I am just wondering how you manage your blog and work. Best wishes to you in 2015! I know it will be great.

    1. Aw thank you so much for the kind words, it really means so much to me that you love my blog. It is always so nice to hear as I put so much work into it 🙂 I started my own company last year so I am very lucky to be able to work for myself. Some days I find it a bit overwhelming to manage work, a one year old and my blog, but I have set up a very good schedule that goes pretty smoothly if I sick to it. I am thinking of doing a few posts on that this year as well. 🙂
