Getting ready for the day starts for me by doing my make-up. I have worked out a make-up routine that works perfectly for me.
It has taken me quite some time to work out the perfect make-up routine, but now that I have one it saves so much time when I get ready. Knowing what I apply when makes putting make-up on a breeze.
I would love to share my everyday make-up routine with you, so here it is:
1. Prepare & Face Step 1 – I start off by wiping my face with my 3 in 1 make-up removing face wipes that cleanse, tones and moisturizes my face. This ensures that all make-up that might be left behind from the day before is off and I can start with a clean face.
Step 2 – Once I have given my face a second to dry after wiping it, I apply my Yardley spot preventing moisturizer. This helps make the surface of my skin smoother when I apply my make-up and it moisturizes my skin so that it won’t dry out.
Step 3 – I then use my concealer to cover the dark circles under my eyes and any other imperfections. I normally apply under my eyes, over my eyelid, around the curve of my brow and on any other imperfections on my skin.
Step 4 – After preparing my face for applying my make-up, I apply my foundation. I prefer to apply my foundation with a sponge and blend it well. I make sure that I don’t have any dark spots or lines on my face when I apply my foundation.
Step 5 – I then do my eyebrows with my eyebrow kit. I do them second so that if any brow powder falls on my face, I can touch it up with some foundation.
Step 6 – I then look to see if I missed any imperfections, and if I did I cover them with concealer again. I also then apply concealer on my eyelids on top of my foundation before I apply my eye make-up
Step 7 – To finish of my face, I apply my translucent powder to set my make-up. This ensures that my make-up stays in place all day and it gives me that effortless look.
Step 1 – After touching up my eyelid with concealer, I use my liquid liner to draw my cateye and let it dry before touching it up. I keep a Q-tip with concealer on to fix any mistakes I made any. I normally wear only my eyeliner, but on days that I wear eyeshadow, I apply it before doing my eyeliner.
Step 2 – Next I curl my eyelashes. I make sure that my eyeliner is completely dry before I do this.
Step 3 – Lastly I apply my mascara. Depending on what look I want, I apply 1-2 coats of mascara (letting it dry well between coats)
To finish off my look I do my lips. For the overall normal day make-up, I simply put on my Maybelline Baby Lips, which gives me that subtle hint of colour.
